TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Your deposit secures the date you require.

2. Your deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. However, it may be possible to transfer this to another date, subject to availability.

3. When your booking is made you must submit the number of guests expected. If you are not sure then an approximate number will be accepted to secure your date. The confirmed number of guests will be required no less than 1 month before your event date.

4. Approximate bar opening and closing times are required when booking. The confirmed bar opening and closing times will be required no less than 1 month before your event date (this information is required for your Temporary Events Notice application).

5. The Trough will:

(a) be the sole provider of all beverages at the event unless previously agreed in writing. It will not be permitted for anyone to consume their own drinks at the event.

(b) act on behalf of the client in all discussions and licence applications with the Council and venue. The Trough cannot guarantee that a licence and/or opening times required will be granted as the final decision rests with the local licensing authorities. If a licence is refused, all fees minus the licence application fee of £21 will be returned; and(c) supply all equipment, staff and drinks.

6. The Trough operates as follows:

● We reserve the right to refuse to serve anyone we believe to be intoxicated, or is purchasing alcohol on behalf of a minor.

● The operating hours of the bar service will be displayed, and strictly adhered to. Time will be called 15 minutes prior to the close of the bar.

● Challenge 25 – Anyone 25 or under will be asked to prove they are over 18 by providing valid ID. The Trough will only accept a valid picture UK Driving Licence / UK Provisional Licence or valid UK passport.

Booking & Payment:

A completed booking form and a signed Terms & Conditions, along with the FULL AMOUNT DUE must be received not less than 30 days prior to the event.

Cancellations:

In the event of the Client wishing to cancel a booking, any deposit that has been paid will be forfeited. Cancellation charges will be made as follows:

Notice given 60-31 days prior to event – 75% of remaining balance due.

Notice given less than 30 days prior to event – 100% of remaining balance due.
